Charles D. “Chuck” Boesel was born in Winthrop on April 4, 1921, and died Sept. 3, 2015. He raised his family in Lakewood, near Puget Sound. He was a profoundly good and simple man who set a fine example with his devotion to family and friends. He will be sorely missed by his wife of 71 years, Grace, his four children and their spouses: Sue and Dan Holder; Steve and Dawn Boesel; Jim and Lynda Boesel; and Laurie and Todd Thompson; as well as 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. A gathering to celebrate this beloved man will be held Sunday (Sept. 13) at 1 p.m. at Huber’s Gasthaus, 2312 Friendly Grove Road NE, Olympia.
