
The Methow Valley Killer Whales competed at home against Omak on July 21.

The Methow Valley Killer Whales traveled to Brewster last weekend where they prevailed over three other teams in an invitational meet. The Methow Championships will be at Wagner Memorial Pool on Saturday.
From the first dive to the final touch, the Methow Valley Killer Whales swim team dominated the Brewster Invitational on Saturday (July 25), easily out-stroking teams from Omak, Brewster and Okanogan.
After nearly 100 events were concluded, the Killer Whales had racked up 1,004.5 overall team points to 366.5 by the Okanogan Bullfrogs, 337 by the Brewster Bearacudas, and 286 by the Omak Manta Rays.
The Methow Valley girls’ and boys’ contingents each won their divisions. Killer Whales swimmers won nearly 60 of the events at the Brewster meet.
The Killer Whales will be back in the water for the Methow Championships on Saturday (Aug. 1) with competition beginning at 9 a.m. at Wagner Memorial Pool in Twisp. Teams from Okanogan, Omak and Brewster will travel to Twisp for the meet.
