Putting was part of the competition at the Methow Valley Junior Golf program’s tournament last weekend.
The team of Gedi Weidig, Wyatt Scott, Daisy Hilton and Grace Kominak took top honors last week in the Methow Valley Junior Golf program’s three-hole best-ball tournament, and drive, chip and putt championship at Bear Creek Golf Course near Winthrop.
The winning team’s prize was a round of golf at the private Wyndhaven Golf Course in Winthrop. Top scorer in the drive, chip and putt championship was Carter Sheley.
Todd Gjesvold of Omak, a former winner of the Washington state amateur golf competition, was the Junior Golf coach this summer. He was supported by assistant coach Charlie Thornton White for a seond year.
