The Okanogan County commissioners have added a third day of meetings each week. Their regular weekly meetings will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday starting at 9 a.m. in their hearing room in Okanogan.
The commissioners may also hold special meetings at places other than their official hearing room to make it easier for citizens to participate.
The commissioners also approved a change to allow special meetings to be held with commissioners of two or more counties if there are matters on the agenda that concern both or all the counties and their citizens. The meetings could be held at one of the county seats or at another location in one of the participating counties, but are not required to be held in each county.
The special meetings would have to be announced in advance.
The changes became effective on July 15.
