
Campbell exhibit at The Merc
The Merc Playhouse in Twisp will host an exhibit of oil paintings by Caryl Campbell beginning Friday (July 24) and continuing through Oct. 30. The exhibit, titled “The Wilderness Journal,” is presented by Confluence Gallery. Campbell is a long-time Methow Valley resident and an amateur naturalist. Music at Sun Mountain
The brother-sister team of Mark Holt and Kimberlee Holt Tully will perform acoustic bluegrass, Americana, folk and country standards in two free performances at Sun Mountain Lodge on Sunday and Monday, (July 26 and 27). The concerts begin at 6 p.m. each day. For more information, call 996-2211.
Pipestone students perform

Chewuch focus of Confluence home tour
Distinctive homes along the Chewuch River valley north of Winthrop will be featured in Confluence Gallery’s 14th annual Methow Valley Home Tour on Aug. 8 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. “A River Runs Through It” is the theme of the tour, which will include small weekend cabins, expansive residences, artisan-crafted yurts and postmodern mountain retreat. The route is bicycle-friendly. Tickets are $25 ($20 per person for carpools of four or more), and can be purchased at Confluence beginning Aug. 1, or at Rocking Horse Bakery in Winthrop on Aug. 8 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. For more information, call 997-2787.

Sun Mountain exhibit opens

“The Art Bucket List: 10 European Art Masterworks that Everyone Should See Before They Die” will be presented at Confluence Gallery in Twisp on Aug. 8 from 7 – 9 p.m., featuring Gary Faigin of Seattle’s Gage Academy of Art. Faigin is an artist, art educator, tour leader and art critic, and is the artistic director and co-founder of the Gage Academy.
