“The Window Beyond”

Malotte part of Port Townsend exhibit

A photograph by local artist Sherry Malotte has been selected to be included in the 17th Annual Art Port Townsend Juried Art Exhibition, “Expressions Northwest,” which will be held from July 31 to Aug. 30. Juror Kathleen Moles, an independent art curator, writer, and editor based in the Pacific Northwest, selected 67 pieces from 330 works of art submitted to the show from artists living in the Pacific Northwest. Malotte’s accepted work, a photograph titled “The Window Beyond” is a piece from her series titled “Night Light,” which explores the light available after dark.

Quilt show in Pateros

The Columbia River Quilt Guild hosts its 17th annual Quilt Show during the Pateros Apple Pie Jamboree on Saturday (July 18) from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Pateros Central Building. Admission is free. The theme this year is “Quilting By the River.”
