Daisy Hilton, left, and her sisters Adele and Willa Hilton competed in the Drive, Chip & Putt Contest in Bellingham recently.
Daisy Hilton (12), Adele Hilton (10) and Willa Hilton (13), all of Winthrop, recently attended a local qualifier for the Drive, Chip & Putt Contest, a national competition that results in the finalists playing at the Masters in April 2016.
The competition took place in Bellingham at the Lake Padden Golf Course. The top three finalists in each age group will go to the sub-regional qualifiers and then on to the regionals. From there, the finalists are flown to the Masters in Augusta, Georgia, and get to meet all of the professional players.
All three of the Hiltons have been playing golf for three years and are enrolled in the Junior Golf program at Bear Creek Golf Course in Winthrop. At the qualifier, Daisy had a strong driving round and Adele qualified as an alternate for the sub-regional.
