Killer Whales kick off season with a strong start

The Methow Valley Killer Whales swim team showed strong early-season form in two meets last week, both in Okanogan, racking up first-place finishes in all age groups and events.

The team competed against the Okanogan Bullfrogs on Thursday (June 25), and was back in Okanogan on Saturday (June 27) for the Okanogan Pentathlon.

At the Okanogan dual, the Methow Valley team competed in about 80 events, including relays, and took first place in more than 50 of them. The Killer Whales also claimed more than 40 second-place finishes.

At the Okanogan Pentathlon, the team competed in more than 50 events and took first place in 35 of them, and also had 28 second-place finishes.

The team hosted Brewster on Tuesday (June 30) and will visit Omak on Thursday (July 2).
