 Notes

Senior meals will not be served Friday (July 3). There will not be a dance day on Friday either. The Thrift Store will be open regular hours on Friday and Saturday (July 4).

Congratulations to Lois Chavey for being named July senior of the month.

During this hot weather, stay cool and do not overdo things. We hope you all have a safe and happy Fourth of July.

At the regular board meeting, a vote to amend the articles of incorporation for the association will take place. All Methow Valley Senior Center members are invited to attend the meeting on July 14 at 10 a.m.

The Thrift Store is open on Saturdays during Farmers Market hours. The shop is also open Monday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

The Senior Center is

located next to the
Methow Valley Community Center on Highway 20 in Twisp. Lunch is served at noon by the Okanogan County Transportation and Nutrition Program on Monday, Thursday and Friday. The suggested donation for lunch is $3.50 for seniors over age 60; the cost is $8 for those under 60. Annual membership dues are $1.25.

Transportation is available locally for the senior lunch program, and for monthly trips to Omak/Okanogan the second Tuesday of the month and to Wenatchee the third Tuesday of the month. Call the Senior Center at 997-7722 for additional details.
