A new information kiosk under construction in the sprawling TwispWorks parking lot is the first of several new features that will transform the space into a community gathering place, Executive Director Amy Stork said this week.
“A number of things will happen there to develop it into a public plaza to be used by TwispWorks and the broader community” for events and celebrations, Stork said.
Up to a half-acre of the existing asphalt will be replaced with landscaping and other amenities, she said. The kiosk — the “leading edge” of a larger vision, Stork said — will offer information about TwispWorks and its history, and about scheduled events on the campus. For more information, call 997-3300.
