Dolores (DeeDee) Johnson

Dolores (DeeDee) Johnson, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt and friend, passed away on June 10, 2015. She was 81 years old. She came into the world on Sept. 12, 1933, as Dolores Dee Dease and married Dan R. Johnson (deceased) on June 5, 1954. They were married for 59 years. Dee leaves behind five children: Chuck, Karen (Kevin), Dan, Gunnar and Jeff. She has five grandchildren: Arnie (Courtney), Amy (Brian), Brandi, Kjell, and Ivan. Also missing Dee are her brothers-in-law, Charles Dickey, Frank Johnson (Katherine), and Don Johnson (Sue), and many nieces and nephews. Her dear friends Louise Higbee, Tom and Marilyn (“Priscilla”) Bardin, Pam Merkel and Denise Pitman, Pam Kreider, and Tom and Chris Phillips, meant more than the world to her. She loved living in the Methow Valley; she knew everyone and everyone knew her.

DeeDee moved to the Methow Valley (Winthrop) in 1972. She worked at and retired from Farmers State Bank. She moved from Winthrop to Twisp and ended her journey in Carlton.

Dee’s family is filled with gratitude for the care she received at Confluence Health Care in Wenatchee. Thank you, Stormy. Thank you Kate, Todd, Sheridan, Buck, Lisa and Frank, and so many others. You cared for all of us so well.

In Dee’s memory, please create happiness, laugh often, be gracious and kind, enjoy the little things and seek peace and calm. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
