By the Fifth and Sixth Graders of MVES
The fifth and sixth graders at Methow Valley Elementary School learned about journalism and its many attributes from Don Nelson and Darla Hussey.
The class began around 10:55 a.m. and continued for about an hour.

Camille Odell and Josephine Cole enjoyed looking at the newspapers from ten years ago. See gallery below for more photos of the 5th & 6th graders who participated in the journalism section.
The students looked at old newspapers from 1915, 1985, and 2005.
They were super cool and interesting, and we saw Ms. DuguayÕs graduation picture, and other people we know.
Tyler Darwood saw a picture of his grandparents and other family members from a newspaper in 1985, as well as a photo of Ms. Reese playing softball.
Then they wrote a story about the experiences.
Cody saw a picture of Gage Wilson just after he was born!
The students were Cody W, Tyler, Camille, Josephine, Levi, Kieren, Cody W. (the other one), Gael, Wyatt O., Sam, Alex, Zeke and Michael. Several students said they would like to be writers.
