Celebrating young writers
Methow Valley Elementary School’s annual Young Writers’ Celebration will include a free public event on Thursday (June 4) from 5:30 –7 p.m. in the school library. Students’ writing will be displayed, students will read original work aloud, and the winners of the fourth annual writing contest will be announced.
The Young Writers’ Celebration precedes the Young Writers’ Conference on June 5, a day-long series of workshops that engage students in writing activities, including attending seminars of their choice presented by adult writers, artists, storytellers, and actors from around the region, hearing inspirational speakers, and sharing their own writing.
