Dallas Howerton, 94 of Silverdale, Washington, passed away on May 2, 2015. Dallas was born on March 16, 1921, to Harry L. and Edna (Weed) Repine in Harrisburg, Oregon.
She was a graduate of North Kitsap High School and went on to marry Eugene Wilson in 1941. He preceded Dallas in death. She later married George Howerton in 1963, who also preceded her in death.
Dallas retired after over 20 years as a mail carrier. She was an active member of Bayside Community Church and volunteered her time at the Women’s Correctional Facility in Purdy. Dallas was also a fellowship volunteer and chaplain at the Kitsap County Juvenile Department. She spent many summers in her cabin on the Twisp River. In her free time, Dallas enjoyed baking cookies and giving “grandma hugs.”
Dallas is also preceded in death by son, Stanley Wilson, and brothers Harry E. and Ted A. Repine. Dallas’ memory will live on with her children, Robert O. Wilson (Pam), Dave Wilson (Sue), Carolyn Gillick (John), Ken Wilson, Fred Howerton (Carol), Bonnell Adams, and Deloris Paramo (Joe); and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
