“Puttin’ on the Ritz” is the theme of Little Star Montesorri School’s fundraising dinner and auction on Saturday (May 16) at the Winthrop Barn. Tickets for the 1920s-themed event are $35 and must be purchased in advance at the school or at brownpapertickets.com. Tables for eight may be reserved.
Costumes are encouraged. The dinner will be catered by Cameron Green. Music will be by DJ Noah and Boom Boom Productions. There will be silent and live auctions.
“The auction is the school’s single biggest fundraiser and the quality of our programming depends heavily upon its success,” school director Dani Reynaud said. “Funds raised at the auction will be used for general operating costs, staff salaries, professional development, facility maintenance, and scholarships, which provide more than one-third of our families with financial assistance.”
Little Star, which has been in operation for 33 years, currently has 76 students. Since its opening , more than 2,000 children have taken part in Little Star programs.
