The experiential drawing and painting class “Immerse Yourself in the Process,” originally scheduled for Saturday and Sunday (May 16-17), has been postponed until fall, according to Confluence Gallery. For more information, call 997- 2787.
Life drawing classes offered
Four sessions of life drawing classes with Robin Nelson-Wicks will begin May 28 and continue on Thursdays through June 18 from 6-8 p.m. at Confluence Gallery in Twisp. Cost is $80 for the four sessions or $25 for a single session. For more information, call 997-2787.
Student exhibit at Rocking Horse
The opening for Liberty Bell High School student Wil Chandler’s senior project, a photo exhibit titled “Design by Nature,” has been changed to Thursday (May 14) from 3-6 p.m. at Rocking Horse Bakery in Winthrop. The event is free.
Friday Folk Cafe returns
The Friday Folk Cafe at Cinnamon Twisp Bakery is back on May 22, featuring local folk singers Emele Clothier, Ken Bevis and Dana Visalli. The free event begins at 6 p.m. A light dinner will be available beginning at 5 p.m. For more information, call 997-9011.
Artists’ reception at Winthrop Gallery

Concerts, recitals at Cascadia Music Days
Cascadia presents its annual Music Days weekend on May 23-24. Saturday’s event is a concert by the Pipestone Orchestra and Youth Orchestra in the Methow Valley Community Center gym, beginning at 7 p.m. Cost is $15 for adults, $5 for students or free for those 12 and under. Featured will be works by Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Dvorak and Mahler. On Sunday, Pipestone School of Music students offer a free recital beginning at 1 p.m., also in the community center gym. Lots to do at Twisp Art Walk
The Twisp Art Walk will return on May 23 from noon- 4 p.m. with a variety of free exhibits and events all along Glover Street. This year you can test your knowledge of Twisp’s public art by following a trail of footprints that will lead art walkers not only to great pieces of public art, but also to interactive art demos, open artist studios, live music, great local food and arts activities for all ages. Participants include several artists at TwispWorks, The Merc Playhouse, Confluence Gallery, D*Sign Studio, Methow Gallery, Methow Valley Interpretive Center and Spartan Art Project.
