Filing week for elected offices that will be on the November ballot in Okanogan County is May 11–15. Candidates can file two ways:
• By submitting a Declaration of Candidacy by mail between April 27 and May 15. Candidates can also come into the auditor’s office from 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. weekdays.
• Online during filing week at vote.wa.gov/okanogan. Filing will begin at 9 a.m. on May 11 and close at 4 p.m. on May 15.
If a candidate files online and there is a filing fee, the fee must be paid before the filing will become valid. All filing fees must be paid in the auditor’s office by 4:30 p.m. on May 15. Any candidate may withdraw in writing through May 18.
If needed, there will be a special three-day filing period, May 20-22, for non-partisan offices for which no one filed during the regular filing period.
Nonpartisan offices for which more than two candidates filed will appear on the Primary Election Ballot.
