Calendar

May 1: Dance Day

May 23: Western Sale

Notes

What a wonderful turnout we had for the Over 80 party on Friday. Everyone got decked out in leis, corsages, and some in Hawaiian shirts for the pictures. Mary Bean was the oldest at 100. Lloyd Bjerge was the oldest man. They both received a bouquet of flowers and free lunches for a week. Thanks to Judy Zutter for the beautiful cake. It was a shame to cut such a pretty work of art. Check out our Facebook page for pictures of the party.

On Friday (April 24) we will award our door prize gift basket, plus a special prize: one of Howard Betty’s wooden bowls. You must be signed up and eating lunch to be eligible.

May 1 is dance day. On May 2 and 9 we will have our Western clothes sidewalk sale. Get your western clothes for 49ers weekend.

The Thrift Store will be open on Saturdays during Farmers Market hours beginning in May. The shop is now open Monday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

The Senior Center is located next to the Methow Valley Community Center on Highway 20 in Twisp. Lunch is served at noon by the Okanogan County Transportation and Nutrition Program on Monday, Thursday and Friday. The suggested donation for lunch is $3.50 for seniors over age 60; the cost is $8 for those under 60. Annual membership dues are $1.25. For more information, call 997-7722.

Transportation is available locally for the senior lunch program, and for monthly trips to Omak/Okanogan the second Tuesday of the month and to Wenatchee the third Tuesday of the month. Call the Senior Center at 997-7722 for additional details.
