The Cove, the downtown Twisp institution that provides a food bank and so much more, will celebrate its 17 anniversary with an open house on April 30 from noon-4 p.m. Hot dogs and desserts will be served and everyone is invited, said Executive Director Glenn Schmekel.
The Cove’s programs, in addition to its weekly food bank, include the Guardian Angels, who visit elderly or shut-in residents; Neighbors Helping Neighbors, the annual holiday food drive for those in need; and Jamie’s Place Adult Family Homes.
The Cove is sustained by donations, grants and fundraising events.
