Calendar

April 17: Over-80 party

April 21: Bus to Wenatchee

May 23: Western Sale

Notes

It’s here this week: Our over-80 party is on Friday (April 18). Come and join the fun. There will be pictures, flowers, cake and special treatment for all the over-80s. There are plenty of Hawaiian shirts, dresses, hats and shorts if anyone wants to dress up. Let’s have fun.

Ann is back, and she and her crew are busy moving in and setting up the Western Sale. If you have any donations for that sale we will accept them now, as we have a place to store them. Memorial Day weekend will be the big day to kick off the sale. The money from this sale will go into scholarships for the graduating class of 2015.

Our condolences go out to our cook Donna Cotner on the passing of her father, Richard (Dick) Surface.

April 24 is gift basket Friday. You must be signed up and at lunch to be eligible.

The Thrift Store will be open on Saturdays during Farmers Market hours beginning in May. The shop is now open Monday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

The Senior Center is located next to the Methow Valley Community Center on Highway 20 in Twisp. Lunch is served at noon by the Okanogan County Transportation and Nutrition Program on Monday, Thursday and Friday. The suggested donation for lunch is $3.50 for seniors over age 60; the cost is $8 for those under 60. Annual membership dues are $1.25. For more information, call 997-7722.

Transportation is available locally for the senior lunch program, and for monthly trips to Omak/Okanogan the second Tuesday of the month and to Wenatchee the third Tuesday of the month. Call the Senior Center at 997-7722 for additional details.
