April 16, 2015 by Methow Valley News

Bricks still available

For a limited time, it will cost you only $40 (rather than $50) to order a brick to be installed in the community garden at the Methow Valley Community Center, as the fundraising effort enters its second phase. The first phase is completed and the bricks can be seen at the garden. For more information, visit thatsmybrick.com/mvmg or call 997-2926.

Garage sale at Teen Center

The Valley Teen Center hosts a fundraising garage sale on Saturday (April 18) at TwispWorks from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Donations for the sale are welcome (no large furniture or electronics); bring them to the Teen Center by Friday. For more information, call 997-3300.

Learn about native plants

Learn about the valley’s native plants with Rosalee and Xavier de la Forêt — how plants have been used for food, medicine and tools, for instance — on a wild plant walk at TwispWorks on May 2 from 10 a.m.-noon. Donations will benefit TwispWorks. Register by calling 997-0545 or email rosalee@methowvalleyherbs.com.

First aid class

Aero Methow Rescue Service will offer a two-session class in first aid, CPR and AED on May 12 and 13. Cost is $45 and participants must attend both nights. The sessions are from 6-9 p.m. To register, call 997-4013.
