NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that petitions for exclusion of land have been filed with the Board of Directors of the Methow Valley Irrigation District. The name of the petitioners, together with the land descriptions identified by the Okanogan County Assessor parcel numbers, to be excluded from the boundaries of the MVID without a water right, in Okanogan County, State of Washington, are as follows:

All persons interested in or that may be affected by the change of the boundaries of the District are to appear at the Regular Meeting of the MVID on the 13th day of April, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the River Bank Office in Twisp, WA to show cause in writing, if any they have, why the change of the boundaries of the District, as proposed in the petition, should not be made. The failure of any person interested in said District to show cause in writing why the tracts of land mentioned in said petition should not be excluded from the MVID shall be deemed and taken as an assent to such exclusion.

General Contractors are invited to submit a Bid for the construction of new Fire Station, located at 33 Horizon Flats Road, Town of Winthrop, WA. The Work of this project is generally described as construction of a new 12,000 s.f Emergency Response Facility as described in the construction documents and project manual. Bids must be on a stipulated sum basis. The Owner will receive sealed Bids until 2:00 PM local time, April 13 2015 at the office of the OFCD #6 located at 223 Englar Ave Winthrop, WA 98862. Bidders are required to submit Document 00 4300 – Bid Form Supplements at the time Bids are submitted. Bids will be opened publicly during the Commissioner’s meeting located at 434 West 2nd Street Twisp, WA. The Owner requires Substantial Completion of the Work in 6 months. A Bid Security in the amount of 5 percent of the highest possible Bid amount is required. Bids are required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submittal.

Notice of Public Hearing NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing has been scheduled before the Office of Hearing Examiner in accordance with Okanogan County Code 2.65 and RCW 36.87.060 (2) to consider the petition to vacate approximately 3 miles of Three Devils Road. The matter has been assigned to the Office of Hearing Examiner by direction of the Okanogan Board of County Commissioners given at the public hearing held on March 17, 2015. All that portion of OCR 1876, Three Devils Road, Okanogan County, Washington. Beginning at the easterly boundary line of NE ¼, SE ¼, Section 17, Township 32 N, Range 24 EWM ± MP 1.75 running in a southerly direction to the NW ¼, NE ¼, Section 20 continuing northwest direction to the SE ¼, SE ¼, Section 18 thence running in a northwest direction to the USFS boundary line to a terminus point SW ¼, NW ¼, Section 18, Township 32 N., Range 24 EWM at MP 4.81. LOGIC AND ACCURACY TEST. In accordance with RCW 29A.12.130 and WAC 434-335, a Logic and Accuracy test will be conducted on the Okanogan County Disabled Access Units and vote counting equipment. The test will be held in the Okanogan County Auditors Office at 9:00 AM, Friday, March 27, 2015. The programming of the Disabled Access Units will be tested. At that time a “test deck” of ballots will be run through the vote tabulating equipment. The test is designed to check the ballot tabulating and precinct programming. A test deck will be scanned and resolved at the time of the Logic and Accuracy Test. The test is open to the public.

Tuesday, April 28, 2015 A Special Election will be held in the below mentioned districts for the purpose of submitting to the voters for their approval or rejection the following. Public Hospital District No. 3 – Mid Valley, Special Election – Proposition 1 Bonds to Renovate Mid-Valley Hospital Methow Valley School District No. 350 – Special Election – Proposition 1 Capital Levy for Health, Safety and Educational Improvements Methow Valley School District No. 350 – Special Election – Proposition2 Levy to Purchase New School Buses. The registration deadline for online registrations, mail-in registrations and transfers is March 30, 2015. Any qualified elector who is not registered to vote in the State of Washington may register to vote in person at the Auditor’s Office up to and including April 20, 2015.

Voters needing additional information or assistance with voter registration forms or voting may call (509) 422-7240. Voters unable to use the mail-in ballot may use the Accessible Voting Unit available at the County Auditor’s Office. Ballots require sufficient first class postage and must be postmarked by the day of the election. Check with your local Post Office for deadlines to have your ballot postmarked properly. Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM to determine the status of any provisional or challenged ballots. Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 11:00 AM to canvass the votes cast and certify the election.
