Easter breakfast
The Methow Valley Eagles will host an Easter breakfast buffet on April 5 from 9 a.m. – noon, at the Eagles Hall in Twisp. The event is open to the public. Cost is $8. For more information, call 997-8133.
Fundraiser for Edwards
Judy Caputo, a member of the Twisp Eagles Aerie, is soliciting donations for an April 25 fundraiser to benefit long-time Twisp resident Richard Edwards, a contractor, who was recently stricken with two types of leukemia and is in a Seattle hospital.
The Eagles will host a silent auction from 2 – 8 p.m. and are requesting donations of local goods and services. The fundraiser will include a chicken dinner from 5 – 8 p.m. The cost is $8.
Edwards is undergoing chemotherapy to reduce his leukemia cells sufficiently that he can accept a bone marrow transplant, and will be under treatment in Seattle for at least six months. His wife, Jennifer, is staying in Seattle with him, while their children, Autumn and Fischer, ages 11 and 9, finish the school year in Twisp.
