
The Liberty Bell Boosters Club food station offered chicken satay with peanut sauce, samosas and spring rolls.
The Bite of the Methow raised more than $46,000 that will support community projects sponsored by the Winthrop Kiwanis, at another well-attended food-fest on Saturday (March 14) at the Winthrop Barn.
The event raised more than $11,000 for this year’s “Fund a Dream” program, which be used to upgrade the Wagner Memorial Pool in Twisp.
Ticket sales totaled 410. More than 170 donors contributed some 250 items for silent and live auctions. Dal Dagnon of D&D Auction Sales was the auctioneer.

Members of the Killer Whales swim team helped out at the Bite, as did nine Key Club members and seven Builder’s Club members.
Nineteen restaurants, stores, coffee shops and other organizations provided a delectable array of entrees, salads and desserts.
Winner of the judges’ choice award was Freestone Inn, which served lemon tarts and ice cream bars. The best dessert award went to Susan Stone for her shamrock sugar cookies, espresso flourless chocolate cake and white chocolate lemon mousse tarts. Three Bears Cafe won the best commercial chef award, for its green curry crepes. The best “just for the Bite” award went to TOPS, for its array of tasty salads.
