Artist Donna Keyser welcomes the community to an open house in her Glover Street storefront sign shop and art studio on Saturday (March 7) from 2 –  8 p.m.

Keyser opened D*Signs at 109 B N. Glover Street, next to The Studio, in December. Her open house, offering food and beverages, will “celebrate being in this place,” Keyser said.

The open house will coincide with Confluence Gallery’s exhibit opening and Glover Street Market’s wine tasting, providing people an opportunity to visit different events.

Keyser had an art studio at TwispWorks before moving to the downtown space formerly occupied by the Peligro jewelry shop. She said she has been focusing on developing her commercial sign and graphic design business.

She produces a variety of signs that include blackboard signs, truck magnets, and business signs.

Keyser also creates a variety of art and graphic arts including paintings, posters and recreation maps.

Her Glover Street gallery presents her paintings as well as glass, metal, fabric, clay and furniture art by other local and regional artists. Keyser said she wants to offer primarily three-dimensional art, which she said is “always an afterthought in the valley.”
