February 25, 2015 by Methow Valley News

Liberty Bell High School’s boys’ and girls’ basketball teams both earned recognition in all-league honors announced last week.

Junior Connor Cooley was named to the first team in the boys’ North Central Washington 2B North league, while junior Micah Klemmeck was named to the second team. Senior Willy Duguay earned an honorable mention.

Ed Smith was named Coach of the Year in the girls’ North League after guiding the Lady Lions into post-season play following a couple of difficult seasons.

Sophomore Lauren Fitzmaurice was named to the all-league second team, and freshman Lauren Ochoa earned an honorable mention.

The Liberty Bell girls also won the league’s sportsmanship award.
