The Winter Sale has already moved into the sale room and we are starting to sort and hang all the good winter clothes you will need for next winter. But let’s not think about winter yet, let’s enjoy a nice warm summer without all the fires and smoke.
We have been receiving a lot of big bags of very dirty ragged clothing which is of no use to anyone, and they are really filling up our drop-off container. Please make sure your donations are clean and usable.
Also, please don’t bring us any more hardcover books. We are running out of room and have no outlet to get rid of them anymore. It’s a shame to throw them in the garbage but we have no choice.
Farmers Market vouchers will be given out on Friday (June 12) from 10:30-11 a.m. You must show proof of age and income.
The Thrift Store is open on Saturdays during Farmers Market hours. The shop is also open Monday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
The Senior Center is located next to the Methow Valley Community Center on Highway 20 in Twisp. Lunch is served at noon by the Okanogan County Transportation and Nutrition Program on Monday, Thursday and Friday. The suggested donation for lunch is $3.50 for seniors over age 60; the cost is $8 for those under 60. Annual membership dues are $1.25.
Transportation is available locally for the senior lunch program, and for monthly trips to Omak/Okanogan the second Tuesday of the month and to Wenatchee the third Tuesday of the month. Call the Senior Center at 997-7722 for additional details.

THURSDAY, JUNE 11: Chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, broccoli, spring salad, mixed fruit, whole wheat roll, frosted cake.
FRIDAY, JUNE 12: Macaroni and cheese with ham, green beans, Caesar salad, apricots, whole wheat roll, pudding.
MONDAY, JUNE 15: Ham sandwich, cream of potato soup, chopped vegetable salad, apricots, fruited Jell-O.
THURSDAY, JUNE 18: Taco bake, rice, corn, green salad, peaches, brownies.
FRIDAY, JUNE 19: Pork roast, mashed potatoes and gravy, carrot coins, garden salad, applesauce, whole wheat roll, frosted cake.
