CORRECTION

February 19, 2015 by Methow Valley News

An article about the Okanogan County Public Utility District’s deliberations on Enloe Dam described a potential change of water rights that could provide 4,000 gallons of water for irrigation. The amount should have been 4,000 acre-feet. An acre-foot is the volume of water that would cover an acre to a depth of one foot (about 326,000 gallons per acre-foot). The News regrets the error.
