Friends and family of local builder Richard Edwards are seeking donations to help defray anticipated medical costs related to long-term treatment for both acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
Donations can be made at the Giveforward website at www.giveforward.com/fundraiser/sjk7/fundraiser-for-richard-edwards-lleukemia-fund, or directly at North Cascades Bank in Twisp to the Richard Edwards Fund.

As of Monday, the Giveforward site indicated that $2,115 (42 percent) had been raised toward a $5,000 goal.
Condition updates are also being posted on the Giveforward website.
Edwards, his wife, Jennifer, and their children Autumn (11) and Fischer (9) live on Twisp-Carlton Road.
According to information provided by Edwards’ family, he recently suffered from tiredness and a persistent nosebleed. His hemoglobin count was found to be dangerously low, and he was taken to a hospital in Seattle. Edwards must remain there for aggressive treatment for six months, during which he won’t be able to work.
