Online auction benefits Conservancy
An online auction that will raise funds to support the Methow Conservancy kicks off on Friday (Feb. 13) at 8 a.m. and continues until 8 p.m. on Feb. 19.
For the “Experience the Methow” auction, Conservancy board members, staff and advisory council members have offered some of their favorite things to do (or see) in the Methow Valley or beyond. The result is a 21-item auction that celebrates the “special nature” of this valley, according to a Conservancy press release.

Community school presents art auction, dinner
The Blue Bell Cafe Art Auction and Dinner to benefit the Methow Valley Community School will be on March 11 at the Twisp River Pub from 5 –8 p.m. The event will feature a buffet dinner with locally sourced food, student-made appetizers, an art auction, spirited singing and a raffle drawing. Tickets are $35 in advance ($40 at the door) and are available at the Methow Valley Community Center and the Community School in Twisp, at the Twisp River Pub, at Riverside Printing in Winthrop and at brownpapertickets.com. Indian dinner at Twisp Valley Grange
The exotic flavors of authentic Indian food will be featured at a fundraising dinner at the Twisp Valley Grange on Feb. 28. A no-host bar opens at 5:30 p.m. and dinner begins at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at brownpapertickets.com or from a Grange member. For more information, call 997-0775.
