‘Big Adventure’ at LBHS on Feb. 8
“The Big Adventure” — a day of low-key Nordic skiing competition — will be staged Feb. 8 at Liberty Bell High School beginning at 1 p.m. The free event, which will feature members of the Methow Valley Nordic Team, is “for all children under 100 years of age,” according to organizer Hanz Scholz. Participants can predict their times on any of three courses. There will also be prizes and other activities. Cupp an Academic All-Star
USA Cycling has announced that the Methow Valley’s Cody Cupp has been named a collegiate Academic All-Star. The All-Star list includes 50 riders from 14 different schools. The Academic All-Star program recognizes cyclists who achieve top grades in the classroom while also competing at USA Cycling Collegiate National Championships. Cupp, a cyclo-cross competitor, attends Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado.
