
The Master’s Christian School held a Spirit of Christmas Lights Challenge the week before Christmas, in which they judged local holiday light displays on homes and businesses in the vicinity of Twisp. Students Zephyr Powidzki, Karyn Desjardins and Ryan Desjardins were driven from the junction of highways 20 and 153, through the town of Twisp and north to the Riverbend RV Park to do the judging, according to school booster Anna Hammer. Winners include for Best Home, the snowflakes on Airport Road; for Most Inspirational, the nativity on Alder Street; for Best Business, Twisp Feed store. Honorable mentions went to the Merry Christmas on Highway 153, the angel on Burton Street, the Doran home, Twisp Treasures, Idle A While Motel, the Do-It Center, and the Losinski home.
