Brady in concert at The Merc

Local pianist Michael Brady will present “Readings from the Book of Chopin” in a free concert at The Merc Playhouse in Twisp on Jan. 3 at 2:30 p.m.

Brady will perform a nocturne and two scherzos by Chopin, Ravel’s Jeux d’Eau, and Prokofiev’s fourth piano sonata. Between the pieces he will share some thoughts on – and poke fun at — a variety of musical topics from the naïve perspective of someone who never formally studied music. For more information, call 996-5002 or email mbrady@methownet.com.

Confluence exhibit opens Jan. 10

“Tracks,” Confluence Gallery’s next exhibit, opens Jan. 10 with an artists’ reception from 4-8 p.m. The exhibit runs through Feb. 14. For more information, call 997-2787

More than 20 local and regional artists will have works on display, exploring the various meanings and images that the term “tracks” suggests.
