When electricity was still not restored to the church on Wednesday night, volunteer coordinator Judy Tonseth made the decision to move meal preparations to the Methow Valley Senior Center the next morning. Tonseth and 11 other volunteers served dinner to over 100 people between noon and 4 p.m. “We were very grateful to be able to use the senior center,” Tonseth said. Phone calls, notices on Facebook and the Methownet bulletin board, and a note on the church door directed people to the new location.
