The Twisp Town Council has approved 1-percent increases in the property tax levies for the Town of Twisp and for the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) district.
Aero Methow Rescue Service contracts with the EMS district to provide emergency medical care in Twisp. The EMS levy generated $43,882 in revenue this year. The dollar amount of the increase next year will be $439.
Twisp received $168,720 in property tax revenues in 2014. The dollar amount of the increase for 2015 will be $1,687.
Under state law, property tax levy increases are limited to 1 percent annually.
