Ten members of the Methow Valley Spinners & Weavers Guild — from left Christina Kyte, Jackie Hovis, Cheryl Bellin, Cathie Lewis, Lillie Smith, Dorothy Evans, Jacquie Luke, Susan Snover, Janet Lindsey and Katie Swanson — built a mountain of hand-woven rugs at their weekly meeting last Thursday. The guild opens its doors to the public this weekend for its annual two-day show and sale, Friday (Nov. 21) from 2 – 6:30 p.m., and Saturday (Nov. 22) from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at guild headquarters: 137 Old Twisp Highway. All items, from kitchen towels to placemats, blankets, rugs, and scarves, are handmade by guild members. Cash or check purchases only.
