Three Lady Lions selected for All-League volleyball squads

November 13, 2014 by Methow Valley News

By Mike Maltais

Liberty Bell High School varsity volleyball standouts Ashley Watson, Erin Schuh and Lauren Fitzmaurice were all selected for the Central Washington B All-League volleyball teams on a ballot by team coaches last week.

Fitzmaurice, in her first year as a freshman varsity striker for the Lady Lions, was voted to the All-League First Team. Watson, a senior, was a Second Team selection, and sophomore Schuh was an Honorable Mention pick.

The Lady Lions were eliminated in post-season competition by a single-elimination loss to Waterville on Nov. 1, and ended their season with a five-win, nine-loss league record that left them in fifth place among eight teams in the CWB league North division.
