Volunteers recognized

The Town of Winthrop’s annual volunteer recognition event, which highlights the contributions of individuals and organizations to activities that benefit the community, will be on Thursday (Nov. 13) at the Winthrop Barn. The free event begins at 6 p.m. and includes dessert after the recognition ceremonies.

Junior class fundraiser

The Liberty Bell High School junior class is sponsoring a fundraiser and yard sale on Saturday (Nov. 15) at Calvary Chapel, 20077 Highway 20 in Twisp. The event supports the class trip to Washington, D.C. Baked goods and soups will be available by donation. For information, call 997-9335.

Conservancy hosts social, presentation

The Methow Conservancy’s annual holiday social and conservation awards ceremony will be on Dec. 9 at the Winthrop Barn, followed by “Bears of the Last Frontier,” a presentation by Chris Morgan, an ecologist, conservationist, adventurer, author and TV host. The holiday social starts at 6 p.m.; Morgan’s program runs from 7 – 8:30 p.m. The event is free. For more information, call 996-2870.
