If you are a veteran, please mark your calendar for a special luncheon for you and a guest on Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at the Methow Valley Community Center. It is sponsored by the Senior Center volunteers in your honor as a “thank you.”
The Rummage Room is open Monday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. We are now closed on Saturdays until next April. We greatly appreciate your donations of “gently used” clothing and household items. The money your donations bring in allows us to pay building expenses and maintain the Senior Center.
The Senior Center is located next to the Methow Valley Community Center on Highway 20 in Twisp. Lunch is served at noon by the Okanogan County Transportation and Nutrition Program on Monday, Thursday and Friday. The suggested donation for lunch is $3.25 for seniors over age 60; the cost is $8 for those under 60. For more information, call 997-7722.
Transportation is available locally for the senior lunch program, and for monthly trips to Omak/Okanogan the second Tuesday of the month and to Wenatchee the third Tuesday of the month. Call the Senior Center at 997-7722 for additional details.

THURSDAY, OCT. 30: Hamburger steak, oven-roasted potatoes, squash, garden salad, mixed berries, whole wheat roll, cookies.
FRIDAY, OCT. 31: Baked fish with lemon pepper, roasted red potatoes, trio vegetables, coleslaw, mandarin oranges, garlic bread, brownies.
MONDAY, NOV. 3: Honey mustard chicken, pasta, Italian vegetables, Caesar salad, garlic bread, fruited Jell-O.
THURSDAY, NOV. 6: Country spareribs, scalloped potatoes, glazed carrots, garden salad, pears, whole wheat roll, chocolate pudding.
FRIDAY, NOV. 7: Spaghetti and meat sauce, green beans, Caesar salad, chilled peaches, garlic bread, frosted cake.
