The Oct. 18 Phoenix Festival, hosted at TwispWorks in conjunction with the Methow Arts Alliance and the Confluence Gallery & Art Center, raised $12,016 at the entry gate with an additional $968 being donated for a total of $12,984 that will be used for fire relief efforts, organizers said this week.
The event’s goal was to raise $10,000 to support recovery efforts.
All admission proceeds from the festival will benefit Methow Valley Long Term Recovery, a nonprofit group formed to help the community recover from the disaster and prepare for future events.
The festival brought over 700 people to the TwispWorks campus to hear music, see visual art and spend time together as a community celebrating the end of the fire season.
