Key Club collects for fire relief
On Halloween (Oct. 31), Liberty Bell High School Key Club members will roam the streets of Twisp and Winthrop, escorted by members of the Winthrop Kiwanis Club, to raise money for local fire relief efforts. And at halftime of the Oroville at Liberty Bell football game on Halloween night, Key Club members will stage a “miracle minute” during which they will run through the crowd with buckets to collect more contributions.
Manger Mall potluck, work party
A work party and potluck luncheon for volunteers who have worked with — or want to work with — the Manger Mall’s Christmas gift program for those in need will be on Saturday (Nov. 1) at the Methow Valley United Methodist Church.
The free event will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be information about how Manger Mall ensures that the valley’s children in need have a special Christmas, plus projects to work on.
