MVID board seat open

October 22, 2014 by Methow Valley News

Methow Valley Irrigation District (MVID) members interested in seeking a seat on the district’s three-person board of directors should submit their names to the district secretary by Nov. 3.

The district will elect one board member to serve a three-year term that begins in January 2015.

The seat is currently held by Greg Nordang, who is seeking re-election, said MVID secretary Bunny Morgan. Nordang has been a board member since 2000.

Candidates for the board must submit a petition indicating their intention to become a candidate, and signed by 10 district members.

Petition forms may be obtained from the MVID secretary by calling 997-2318 or emailing mvid@methownet.com. The petitions must be filed with the MVID by
5 p.m. on Nov. 3. If only one petition is received an election will not be held.
