The Liberty Bell Junior High School cross-country team closed its season at Omak on Oct. 7 the same way it started, with Mountain Lion runners among the top finishers in both the boys’ and girls’ races.

As they have all season, Novie McCabe and Gretta Scholz finished one-two among girls, and Walker Hall, Emerson Worrell and Peter Aspholm placed 2-3-4 among boys.

All five young athletes will be among those who make the switch to Nordic skiing as the season gets underway with team registration later this month.
