A night in Havana
The Twisp Valley Grange will have a distinct Cuban atmosphere on Oct. 24 when Confluence Gallery & Art Center stages its annual membership meeting there with the theme “Havana Nights.” There will be Cuban food, mojitos, Cuban music, domino play-offs, and Latin dance demonstrations featuring dancers from Rumba Northwest of Bellingham. The event begins at 7 p.m. It is free for Confluence members or $35 (which includes annual membership) for non-members. For more information, call 997-2787.
Marionettes in Winthrop
Marionette master Joe Cashore will perform on Nov. 1 at the Winthrop Barn in an appearance sponsored by Methow Arts. The show begins at 7 p.m. Prices for adults range from $15 to $25; and $5-$10 for children. Tickets are available at Twisp Daily Business, Riverside Printing in Winthrop and brownpapertickets.com. Free tickets will be available to victims of the summer fires, and to clients of Room One, The Cove and the Methow Valley Community Center in Twisp.
