Hana Baker and Tyler Slostad joyfully announce the birth of their son, Haakon Alexander Slostad (Haakon is an old Norwegian name, pronounced “hawk-en”). Haakon arrived on March 27, 2014, on a new moon and spring morning. He was 22 inches long and weighed 8 pounds, 9 ounces at birth. Hana and Tyler thank midwife Blue Bradley and Dr. Jimmy Wallace for their expertise and care, as well as family members and Methow friends for their help and support. Haakon is welcomed into the world by his big sister, Tova; grandparents Sam and Martha Baker, and Marlies and John Slostad; aunts and uncles Scott and Laura Baker, and Bob and Kirstin Curtis; and cousins Katura, Bergen and Sawyer.
