Lunch menu

THURSDAY, OCT. 9: Pork chops, twice-baked potatoes, cauliflower and broccoli, carrot raisin salad, applesauce, whole wheat roll, lemon bars.

FRIDAY, OCT. 10: Beef stew, mixed greens salad, peaches, whole wheat bread, brownies.

MONDAY, OCT. 13: Spaghetti and meat sauce, Caesar salad, Italian vegetables, pears, garlic bread, cookies.

THURSDAY, OCT. 16: Chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, glazed carrots, tomato and cucumber salad, apricots, whole wheat bread, Jell-O with topping.

FRIDAY, OCT. 17: Orange-glazed chicken, au gratin potatoes, green beans, creamy coleslaw, pineapple, whole wheat roll, pudding.

Notes

Our annual Halloween Sale will start on Saturday (Oct. 11) and run for a couple of weeks. Lots of costumes and decorations at reasonable prices!

If you are a fire victim in need of clothing and household goods, visit the Rummage Room and get what you need. We have lots of winter clothing available now. The Rummage Room is open Monday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.; and on Saturdays through October from 9 a.m.-1p.m.

The senior center is located next to the Methow Valley Community Center on Highway 20 in Twisp. Lunch is served at noon by the Okanogan County Transportation and Nutrition Program on Monday, Thursday and Friday. The suggested donation for lunch is $3.25 for seniors over age 60; the cost is $8 for those under 60. For more information, call 997-7722.
