Notice of Public Meeting Carlton Complex Wildfires. The Okanogan Board of County Commissioners has scheduled a public meeting to gather information regarding the management of the Carlton Complex Wildfire event. People who wish to speak will be allotted time to voice their concerns or commendations regarding the various agencies performance during the wildfire. The objective of the meeting is to gather valuable information from the citizens who experienced the wildfire firsthand. The information will be used in subsequent review of the emergency response plan and in the formation of other applicable policies and regulation. The meeting is scheduled for October 22, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the Agri-plex at the Okanogan County Fairgrounds in Okanogan Washington. Verbal statements will be taken at the hearing. There will be no time limit imposed unless necessary to give all attendees a chance to speak. The State of Washington, Department of Transportation is acquiring property and/or property rights for the SR153 Methow Valley Highway, project. Negotiations to acquire the property described below have reached an impasse so the State is preparing to submit to the Attorney General’s Office a request for acquisition of this property and/or property rights through a condemnation action. METHOW VALLEY IRRIGATION DISTRICT EQUALIZATION MEETING NOTICE. The Board of Directors will conduct the annual equalization meeting on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. at the Senior Center in Twisp, Washington. Upon the day specified in this notice required by RCW 87.03.250, the Board of Directors which hereby constitute a Board of Equalization for that purpose, shall meet and continue in session from day to day as long as may be necessary, not to exceed ten days, exclusive of Sundays, to hear and determine such objections to the said assessment roll as may come before them; and the Board may change the same as may be just. The purpose of the meeting is to equalize assessments for the 2015 irrigation season.
