Ten-year-old Savanna Osborn of Lake Stevens was so moved by the Methow Valley fires and how they affected people here that she made a personal donation to help out: $29 sent to Winthrop Mayor Sue Langdalen, along with a heartfelt personal note. The mayor sent Savanna a hand-written thank you note, and the money went to Room One for disaster relief.
