The third annual Methow Valley Off-Road Duathlon, a 40-kilometer bike and 10K running event hosted by North Cascades Mountain Hostel, will leave the starting line at Sun Mountain’s Chickadee Trailhead at 9 a.m. on Sept. 27.
Interested competitors can still register online at www.databarevents.com: $40 for an individual spot or $75 for a team.
Registration and early packet pickup will be available from 5 – 8 p.m. on Sept. 26 at the hostel, 209 Castle Ave. in Winthrop. Registration will also be available from 7 – 8 a.m. at the trailhead on the day of the race.
In addition to the regular Hardman 40K/10K event, a new 20K bike and 5K trail run option will also be offered for both solo and team contestants.
Last year the race drew nearly 50 racers, including several solo and team participants.
