Family practice opens at Three Rivers Hospital

September 18, 2014 by Methow Valley News

The clinic inside Three Rivers Hospital is expanding its services from surgery and gynecology to include general patient care. Columbia Medical and Surgical Services opened its family practice Monday (Sept. 15).

“We’re excited to open this clinic and have another means of helping our district residents and visitors,” CEO J. Scott Graham said in a press release. “This has been in the works for a long time, and we believe it will meet patients’ needs in several ways.”

Columbia Medical will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Urgent care walk-in hours will be from 5 – 7 p.m. on the same days. Hours may be extended in the future.

Services offered include general health and wellness care for children, men and women; vaccinations; consultations for surgeries; diabetic foot care; physicals for Department of Transportation and CDL workers; minor procedures; and monthly blood tests for patients using Coumadin, an anti-coagulation medication.

Dr. Gordon Tagge is continuing his relationship with the hospital providing surgeries and patient consultations. Dr. Ty Witt will practice gynecology.

Two new faces are joining the clinic staff: certified family nurse practitioners Christina Ludwig and Michele Hansen. Ludwig moved to North Central Washington this summer from Mesa, Arizona. She lives in Methow. For the past two years, Hansen has been providing medical care at clinics in New Mexico and Washington. She lives in Manson.
